Land in an Excellent Location with Approved Architectural Project
Land in an excellent location, with access from the São João National Road - Campo da Bola, situated between São João das Lampas and Assafora, just 10 minutes from the beaches (such as Praia da Vigia) and 30 minutes from Lisbon.
The land features ARABLE CULTURE with various types of fruit trees and VINEYARD ON HARD SOIL.
A 392m2 6-bedroom house with 3 floors, 2 above the threshold level and one below, boasting 8 parking spaces and a swimming pool.
Information extracted from the architectural project presented to the Municipality of Sintra and approved:
"We propose an architecture composed of two volumes, with the volume of the 2nd floor having a slight projection towards the north so as not to 'harm' the pre-existing elements within the lot."
"As for the architectural design, the project for the 6-bedroom single-family house was inspired by the vernacular architectural language of traditional stone houses and whitewashed houses in the village where the plot of land is located.
A reinterpretation of this vernacular architecture was made by creating a ground floor volume entirely covered in stone, inspired by local constructions, and another on the upper floor, with simple lines and white surfaces, inspired by traditional whitewashed houses.
The volume of the 2nd floor with a pitched roof covered in white lacquered zinc tiles is a reference to Raul Lino's White House (1879-1974), built in 1920 in Azenhas do Mar. The White House or Marco House in Azenhas do Mar is a holiday residence that Raul Lino built for his own use and is characterized by a simple structure that denotes some austerity in both the interior space and its exterior image. This house affirms the principles of the formal model of the Portuguese House, while stripping away all superfluous ornamental elements. Minimal in decorative adornments, it announces a formal minimalism that Raul Lino believed in.
The underlying idea of the project was to create an architecture in which the form reveals its function, i.e., the exterior surface reflects the interior, just as the interior defines the volumes and exterior surfaces. The spirit of Raul Lino in Azenhas do Mar was interpreted with austere and minimal composition, using generous openings with glazed surfaces that allow for high levels of brightness inside, providing, during the warmer periods, a continuous space between the interior and exterior."
Regarding the image of urban integration, it is considered that it relates harmoniously to the landscape and the interior of the property. From the public road, the construction will have a reduced scale, as it is located at a lower level, as well as in comparison with the buildings to the north. To the south and west, as the view of the construction will be from a much lower level, the building will have a significantly reduced dimension, with only the volume with white surfaces being visible, in harmony with other constructions generally of white surfaces."
